The Food Paper Box has rapidly evolved from a basic takeout container into a critical tool for food safety, temperature retention, and brand presentation. In the current delivery-driven food service landscape, a well-engineered food paper box does much more than transport a meal. It protects delicate textures, prevents leakage, keeps hot items hot and cold items cold, and serves as a portable billboard for your restaurant or catering brand. Qingchen, a packaging manufacturer with more than 20 years of international production experience, designs and manufactures food paper boxes that meet strict food contact regulations across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Every box is built with high-quality paperboard, food-safe coatings, and precision die-cutting to deliver reliable performance in real-world food service environments. Our Food Paper Box series includes the Hot Dog Box series, the Chips Box series, and so on.
A dependable food paper box starts with the right paperboard. Qingchen uses solid bleached sulfate (SBS) paperboard with a typical weight ranging from 280 gsm to 350 gsm, depending on the box size and intended food load. The paperboard provides excellent stiffness and fold retention, which means the box keeps its shape even when filled with saucy noodles, fried rice, salad, or stacked side dishes. The interior is coated with either PE (polyethylene) or PLA (polylactic acid) to create a grease and moisture barrier. This coating prevents oil and liquid from soaking through the paper fibers, eliminating the soggy bottom problem that often plagues lower-grade packaging. The exterior surface remains smooth and printable, allowing crisp, high-resolution graphics for menu details, logos, and promotional messages.
Qingchen food paper boxes are manufactured with precision scoring and lock-corner folding. This design allows flat-packed storage and quick assembly during service hours. The lock corners provide structural integrity and reduce the need for adhesive tape or staples, which can introduce contamination risks. The boxes can be supplied as one-piece foldable styles or as two-piece combinations with separate lids, depending on the food application and portion size.
